The Salkantay trek represents an impressive experience that links us to Machu Picchu, offering panoramas composed of glaciers, mountains and the picturesque Humantay lagoon, surrounded by lush vegetation, making the journey one of the most beautiful.
Inca Trail Expeditions Perú proposes an experimental trek, an authentic connection between adventure and nature. Its objective is to depart from conventional tourist routes, avoiding superficial activities to immerse oneself in an immersive cultural environment.
This physical, cultural and spiritual journey is a unique experience that leads through the majestic Salkantay Sacred Trail to the legendary Machu Picchu. We will cross the highest snow-capped peak of the Vilcabamba mountain range until we reach Llactapata, located behind the Machu Picchu mountain. Finally, we will head to Aguas Calientes, located at the foot of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
This 4-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu offers a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and cultural exploration, culminating at one of the world's most iconic archaeological sites.
