Paucartambo Fest & Tres Cruces Viewpoint

With great excitement and anticipation, we begin our journey to the festivity of the Virgen del Carmen!
In the afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 12:30 p.m. and then leave Cusco at 1:00 p.m.
Our first stop will be at the chullpas of Ninamarca, ancient funerary structures of great historical and cultural interest. After this visit, we will continue our journey to Paucartambo, where we will arrive around 5:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, you will have free time to have dinner and explore the village before immersing yourself in the festive atmosphere.
In the evening, you will be able to admire the majesty of the burning of the castles, a fireworks display that lights up the sky, and enjoy the grandiose traditional dances that fill the streets of the town with colour and joy.
After this first taste of the celebration, we will head towards our meeting point, where our transport will be waiting at approximately 1:00 a.m. to take us to Tres Cruces (3800 m / 12,467 ft). We will arrive around 3:00 a.m., at which time you will be able to rest for another hour before waking up to witness the breathtaking Tres Cruces sunrise.
We may be accompanied by other festival-goers, so the music and merriment may continue into the night, adding even more excitement to this unique experience.

Pick up from hotel: 12:30 pm

We hope you have been able to get some rest, as today we will wake up very early to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Tres Cruces. We will enjoy a hot drink and a sandwich while we wait for this incredible natural phenomenon.
After spending some time in this beautiful setting, admiring the cloud forest that stretches below our feet, we will return to Paucartambo around 7:00 am.
In Paucartambo, we will have the morning free to continue enjoying the festivity. Here we will be able to admire more than 15 typical dances, all of them traditional in honour of the Virgen del Carmen. In addition, you will have time for lunch before our return.
At 1:30 p.m., we will pick up our belongings and board the bus back to Cusco. We will bid farewell to the festivity with gratitude and excitement, arriving back in the city around 5:30 p.m.
